One thing I like about myself is the fact that I constantly try and learn new things: there lies a pleasure in pushing one’s boundaries that is unknown to those who never go beyond their comfort zone.
This is how I started taking pictures (I had written poems since I was 6, so it was not easy to leave words aside and begin to “think and feel in pictures”), repairing computers, creating websites, developing apps, cooking dishes and so on… the list is quite long, and in all of these activities I’m self-taught (and had no previous knowledge whatsoever). Most times I was pushed by need (not always my own!)… or Love.
Here is my contribution to the Copycat Challenge hosted by Isabelle Lafrance Photography 🙂
My inspiration was the cover of Rotolando Respirando, a 1977 LP by the Italian group Pooh.
I have always been fascinated by it (and used its title for another shot of mine, too!)… when I was a child, my mom and I listened to its songs together at night ♥
On the left is the original LP photographed by me.
